The Misfit Sock Forest

Grab a pencil, a MISFIT STRONG journal and your imagination and discover what can happen when your create a Misfit Sock Forest, filled with trees and possibility. The trees take shape using recycled or "misfit" materials: a cardboard box, a plastic bottle, a old book, a misfit sock. Through our STEAM projects, students can explore science, engineering and math concepts in the Misfit Sock Forest, while using art and journaling as a catalyst for conversation and action on the importance of seeing possibility in anything marginalized, celebrating differences and feeling empowered.
