SHARE and BE FAIR

Sharing is so hard for young children, knowing that they want what they want when they want it. A child does not truly understand the concept of sharing until about age 5. However, a child can be taught to understand some basic rules, such as waiting your turn. This lesson involves lots of conversation and role-playing, especially when it comes to taking turns.

The best way to get young children to think about sharing is to talk about how they can make others HAPPY when they share. Kids are beautiful at heart and want to make others happy.

The best ways to teach SHARING is to make it FUN and to model it.

Begin the lesson by picking a book from our MISFIT MANNERS Bookshelf. Click each book and decide which book you are interested in reading. You can get these books at your local or school library or purchase online. Many of these books are also read by the authors on YouTube.
